Be a Peach out of Reach. Not a dumb Plumb

We have to have values. So what if our standards are high? We deserve what we believe is the best. I personally wouldn't give someone less than my best if I truly cared for them so why should I accept anything less? Sometimes I believe I put too much focus on relationships and what others think of me but these last few weeks I've felt myself getting stronger emotionally and learning more about myself.

One thing I've learned is that I want to go back to being a peach out of a reach. One Youth Sunday a visiting youth minister told me to always be a peach out of reach. Of course I had no idea what he was talking about but as he delivered his message I soon understood. Guys can be deceiving. Not all guys but every now and then I may come across one or two. Guys know that girls like to hear certain things; how beautiful they are, how pretty their smile is, there is no other in the world like them. Girls love it all and the more we listen to it the more we believe that this guy is something really special when really he may not be as special as we think. The key is not give the guy the chance to say these sweet nothings. We don't have to reply to every text, answer every call, or retweet every mention. Sometimes we have to be out of reach. We have to have standards and if someone is serious about getting to know us they'll take the time to do so. Keep yourself busy. School will be a good distraction in a few weeks...unfortunately, but also do things that you like to do. Join clubs, be in a talent show, volunteer, work. There are all types of things that we can do to get out minds off of boys. I know it can be harder for some but don't give up. Focus on what makes you happy. God has already given us a joy that no one can take away. Focus on Him. Love on Him. Rely on Him.

Be Blessed,
Chelsie

Psalm 33:21-22
21 In him our hearts rejoice,
for we trust in his holy name.
22 May your unfailing love be with us, Lord,
even as we put our hope in you.
