Get Out That Mud

Do you know how special you are? Have you ever sat and thought about how important you really are? I just finished reading Priscilla Shirer’s book, A Jewel in His Crown and it made me realize that I haven’t been carrying myself as royalty. We are all His daughters and that makes us royalty for Christ is King of Kings and Lord of the Universe. I recommend this book to every woman. It had great points and increased by self-confidence.

One of the messages in Priscilla’s book was about being a jewel in the mud. We all mess up. It’s human nature. We are not perfect but that does not mean that you aren’t still a precious jewel. You can get up and keep going. You can overcome whatever has tried to hold you back. The book gives the scenario of you falling into mud. Would you stay there? Or would you get up and clean yourself off? Let’s not get comfortable in this mud. Whether you fell in or were pushed in, decide now to get out of that puddle! It’s time to move forward.

Sometimes moving forward can be scary. It can mean ending friendships, moving to a new city, going to school (or back to school), or anything that you’ve been planning to do but for some reason haven’t gotten around to doing it. Change is frightening but do not fear, for as long as you are doing God’s will you won’t fail. For the Bible says, “God is within her. She will not fail (Psalm 46:5). ” We have to let go of this type of thinking. Letting go of something average allows for God to give you something extraordinary. “ For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory that is to be revealed to us. (Romans 8:18)”

Let 2015 be a year of prosperity for you! The time to walk into victory is now. No more excuses. Now is the time to let your light shine. I pray that you be more than conquerors! There are great things ahead of you, open your heart and mind. Keep an expectant attitude and He will send it. Thank God for His everlasting love and generosity.

“Be strong and take heart all you who hope in the Lord (Psalm 31:24).”
